About Product

Our handcrafted Noblessa Leather iPad Cases are made one by one by our highly experienced craftsmen in our bookbindery and features a Smart Cover with magnets to activate sleep/wake functionality, model specific camera ports, elastic closure, and a hinged back for not only multiple angle viewing in the horizontal position but also the capability to fully fold your leather iPad cover back, for a writing and reading style position.  Just like all our iPad leather cases, we build in a pencil holder to the cover so you can carry your Apple Pencil along with you.  We truly wanted to make a luxury leather iPad case so we searched the globe looking at the most high end leathers.  

Noblessa Calf Leather is the finest full grain leather from the well-established tannery Perlinger, which has been tanning leather in Germany since 1864. Because of its high quality and environmentally aware ethics, it is highly regarded by top brands around the world. Noblessa Leather’s luxury characteristics include its embossed grain print, smooth texture, high durability and water resistance.  

The interior of the leather iPad case is lined with soft Suede leather and includes a subtle DODOcase logo blind debossed on the center. The front cover has two channels built in to better assist your iPad in horizontal viewing. A more durable and slimmer profile polymer tray, 27% thinner than our old tray provides a snug fit for your device. All corners are protected, but there is still open access to all device ports and buttons.  Making these one of the most luxurious leather iPad cases to be found.

As a natural material, grain patterns or marks can appear even in the most luxurious leather hides. These naturally occurring features make each product unique and act as the distinctive fingerprint of your leather case.

Really like the exterior and interior of the case. However, I received the case towards the end of November 2023 and had only removed and re-installed the IPad once. Today, February 3, 3024, the top right corner clip broke (see attached photo). Please work on a sturdier clip solution because I do like the rest of the features of the case.

The case works fine, the polymer tray for the iPad Pro 13" fits well, the sleep-wake magnets are located properly to control the device, and the grooves in the cover hold the device in position, as expected. My main complaint is aesthetics and attention to detail. A signature part of the look of the DODOcase products is the clipped corners. I'm not a huge fan of the look, I'd prefer rounded corners particularly on a leather cover, but so far there are not many available for the iPad Pro 13", so I tried the Noblessa which has worked well for me in the past. On this case, however, the QC missed the mark. The corners are all clipped, but the size of the resulting flat corner ranges from about 1/8" to 1/4", the four do not match, and even two opposing corners that should match when closed do not. It just looks shoddy. It's a small detail, but it is also an expensive case that is supposed to be handmade with quality, the QC check on this one just missed entirely. Does this mistake hamper the functionality of the case, decidedly not it functions fine, but it impairs my enjoyment to have a case that was not manufactured properly. I've had similar problems with DODOcase products in the past and they have made good with replacements, I'm just tired of being the person who continually has to complain about basic manufacturing defects and seek replacements. While I like DODOcase functionality, the repeated aesthetic failures means this is probably my last DODOcase.
