DODOcase has been working leather with traditional bookbinding and leathercrafting techniques since 2010. Our leather watch bands are cut from full-grain hides and handsewn in our San Antonio, Texas workshop — two band sizes fit every Apple Watch, Series 1 through Ultra.

Two Leathers, One Bench

English Bridle leather Apple Watch band. Chestnut English Bridle from Wickett & Craig of Pennsylvania — the same harness leather we cut our wallets from, hot-stuffed with waxes so it wears in instead of wearing out. Hardware from Buckleguy in Massachusetts.

Chèvre leather Apple Watch band. Goat leather with a fine pebbled grain — lighter and softer on the wrist, in Orange, Medium Brown, and Black. The same handsewn quality in a different character of hide.

Full-Grain Hides, Finished by Hand

Every leather watch strap here starts as full-grain leather — the top of the hide, grain intact — saddle-stitched by hand, no machine sewing. Expect the band to darken and burnish where it touches your wrist; that patina is the point.

Handsewn in the USA since 2010. The same hands that bind our iPad cases cut, stitch, and edge-finish these bands in San Antonio, Texas.

Leathercraft, not accessories-aisle leather. Traditional techniques — precise cutting, edge finishing, saddle stitching — on an object you'll look at fifty times a day.

Small batches. Bands are made in limited runs. When a color sells out, the next batch is made by hand, not pulled from a container.

Do you make leather bands for Apple Watch?
Yes — both bands here are made for Apple Watch. The adapters click into the standard band-release slots, no tools needed.

Which size fits my Apple Watch?
Two sizes cover the whole line: Small fits 38, 40, and 41mm cases plus the 42mm on Series 10 and newer; Large fits 44, 45, 46, and 49mm (Ultra) cases plus the 42mm on Series 3 and older. Apple has used "42mm" twice — check your Series in the Watch app if you're not sure.

Are the bands made in the USA?
They're cut and handsewn in our San Antonio, Texas workshop, with English Bridle leather tanned in Pennsylvania.

Will the leather handle sweat and daily wear?
Full-grain leather is happiest with everyday wear — it darkens and molds to your wrist. Like any leather band, it prefers to stay out of the shower and the pool; towel off sweat and let it dry naturally.

How do I care for a leather watch band?
Wipe with a dry cloth and condition lightly once or twice a year. Patina — darkening, burnishing, a shine at the buckle — is character, not damage.

What's the difference between a watch band and a watch strap?
Nothing, in practice — "strap" usually implies leather or fabric, "band" covers everything. Ours are leather, so both fit.
