We cut these wallets from Chestnut English Bridle tanned by Wickett & Craig — America's harness-leather tannery, working hides since 1867 and the same tannery behind our English Bridle iPad cases. Bridle leather is full-grain and vegetable-tanned, then hot-stuffed with waxes and tallows: it starts firm, breaks in to your carry, and darkens into a patina that's yours alone. A full grain leather wallet at year five looks better than it did on day one.

Are these wallets made in the USA?
Yes — start to finish. The leather is tanned in Pennsylvania and every wallet is cut, handsewn, and finished in our San Antonio, Texas workshop. No imported parts.
Can I get a monogrammed wallet?
Yes. Every style can be personalized with your initials — choose the monogram option on the product page. Monogrammed wallets are made to order and cannot be returned.
What's the difference between a card holder and a wallet?
A leather card holder carries cards only — usually two to four — in the slimmest possible profile. A wallet adds room for folded cash and more cards. If you tap to pay for most things, a card holder is probably all you need.
How slim is the slimmest style?
Our Slim Leather Card Holder measures 3 15/16" × 2 9/16" and is about as thick as the cards you put in it.
Will the leather stretch to fit my cards?
Yes — English Bridle relaxes slightly with use and molds to what you carry. Pockets are cut snug on purpose; give a new wallet a week and it fits like it was made for your cards, because it was.
How do I care for a leather wallet?
Mostly, carry it. Wipe with a dry cloth when needed and condition with a small amount of leather balm once or twice a year. Scuffs and darkening aren't damage — that's the patina full-grain leather is prized for.
Do you make front pocket wallets?
Yes — the Front Pocket Wallet sits flat and comfortable in a front pants pocket, with four card pockets and a bill slot.
