    Our handcrafted English Bridle Leather iPad Cases are made one by one by our highly experienced craftsmen in our bookbindery and features a Smart Cover with magnets to activate sleep/wake functionality, model specific camera ports, elastic closure, and a hinged back for not only multiple angle viewing in the horizontal position but also the capability to fully fold your leather iPad cover back into a writing and reading style position. Just like all our iPad leather cases, we build in a pencil holder to the cover so you can carry your Apple Pencil along with you. We truly wanted to make a luxury leather iPad case so we searched the globe looking at the most high end leathers.  

    English Bridle Leather is a traditional leather from the well-established tannery Wickett & Craig, which has been tanning leather since 1867. Because of its high quality and environmentally aware ethics, it is highly regarded by top brands around the world. English Bridle leather is smooth and flexible yet durable.   

    The interior of the English Bridle leather iPad case is lined with soft leather and includes a subtle DODOcase logo blind debossed on the center. The front cover has two channels built in to better assist your iPad in horizontal viewing. A more durable and slimmer profile polymer tray, 27% thinner than our old tray provides a snug fit for your device. All corners are protected, but there is still open access to all device ports and buttons.  Making these one of the most luxurious leather iPad cases to be found.

    As a natural material, grain patterns or marks can appear even in the most luxurious leather hides. These naturally occurring features make each product unique and act as the distinctive fingerprint of your leather case. Over time and use, a rich patina will develop, giving the case a stunning, unique appearance.

    I DIDN'T GET AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION, WHAT DO I DO?

    If you didn't get an email confirmation, first, make sure which email address (if you have multiple) you used to make your purchase.

    After you double checked your email, did you check your spam folder? If not, give that a look see and then make sure you whitelist our domain/email. We don't have any control over your email provider so sometimes it won't be delivered, if this is the case, contact us and we will be happy to resend it for you but make sure you take the following steps before giving us an email.

    IS THE LEATHER YOU USE TO BUILD THE DODOCASE REAL GENUINE LEATHER?

    Our Scholars Collection uses bonded leather. There is also the option to add bonded leather to your customized "build-a-DODO" case.

    Case is built like a tank, leather sheets are super thick. While im not the biggest fan of the glue work, i am interested in seeing how this case patinas over the years. I do appreciate how the area where the apple pencil goes is bare, i have no problem charging the pencil while a grip is on it, unlike other cases. I would definitely recommend this case, and the customer service is 10/10

    Very high quality leather, I love it. As mentioned the leather is thick and somewhat inhibits it from folding completely flat on the back. I dont find this a problem though, as it provides a very slight angle which is perfect for writing on. This definitely makes the iPad look mcuh more professional. I have this on my 2025 iPad air M3 and it fits great. The thin plastic case on the inside that actually holds the ipad leaves something to be desired and makes me question the longevity of the product. I just hope that I can get a replacement if something happens.

    It’s a totally different kind of case to others. Feels handmade - leather is stunning. The cover does slightly curl - meaning it doesn’t have hard plastic on the inside. Is a more natural feel. Almost would prefer it without the elastic closing strap 1 but that’s just me. 100% recco it you like materials and enjoy good craftsmanship

    It’s really not designed well for the product. As iPads get lighter, the weight of this product makes it very uncomfortable to hold. While the stiff leather does start to loosen up, you cannot get to a point where it does fold so you can hold it without continuously applying pressure. After less than a week, the glue also started to come away and get on your hands. I am very disappointed and have abandoned the product. I have reverted to a lighter product and forsaken the leather option.

    Agree with Marc S. It’s very stiff and bulky and hard to hold. I was expecting something much better designed. It’s also darker than in the pictures. I’m hoping it loosens up but may have to ditch it for a much cheaper and lighter option.

    I like the English bridle leather, but the design detracts from it. 1) The leather is attached - I'm assuming glued - to a rigid layer (other than at the hinge). This completely eliminates the "hand" that is characteristic of this beautiful material. 2) The cover / stand may work if the iPad is sitting on a desk, but it is awkward when holding the device. 3) The contrasting lining, which is shown on the web site, is just unattractive - admittedly a personal preference. 3) The elastic closure and pen loop cheapens the appearance. 5) There are two magnets embedded in the cover that I guess are supposed to put the iPad to sleep - they don't. Simply not the premium product it should be.

    The leather is very good quality and feels excellent, but the case is very bulky, which takes away from the utility a bit. Also, the case is very stiff and the thickness of the leather makes is difficult to fold the cover back and hold the case+iPad for reading. This may loosen up over time, but at least when new it is a little ungainly. As a stand it works fine, but I do not love holding it, and it adds a lot of bulk to the iPad, it feels much bulkier than the Noblessa case for comparison. As with all of the DODO cases the tray fits the iPad perfectly and the pen loop holds the Apple Pencil securely while still allowing it to charge. Overall a very functional case hampered by its bulk. If that's not an issue for you it's a beautiful case, possibly the case with the nicest leather I have tried.
