Día de Los Muertos - Day of the Dead - is a holiday that honors the dead with festivals and celebrations where revelers don costumes and artfully painted faces while enjoying parties and parades. Known for the iconic representations of skulls and skeletons, Día de Los Muertos is also an explosion of colors featuring vibrant Marigold flowers and ornately crafted papel picado (decorative tissue paper).

Inspired by those great traditions and following in our own, we expanded our Classic Black iPad line by creating a collection of limited edition liners that represent the style and cultural heritage of Día de Los Muertos.

These cases are handmade and book-bound in our workshop using traditional techniques. This case is sure to impress! Wrapped in our library grade Black Moroccan book cloth, it's solid, compact, lightweight and feels great in your hands. Our multi-use case features 3 different viewing modes to cover all your needs: upright book-style reading mode, angled-viewing mode, and A-frame perching mode. The A-frame propped mode is great for using your iPad while lying down in bed or relaxing on the couch.

The iPad case also features our Smart Cover, which turns your iPad on and off with open / close of the cover, a fabulous battery-saving element! The case is made with a slim profile durable polymer tray to secure your device. The tray offers protection for all device corners but includes open access to all ports and buttons. All cases that can use the Apple Pencil will also come with an elastic Pen loop to secure it to the case.

If your order is a monogrammed item – please allow 3-5 business days to ship.

Monogrammed Products: If you added a monogram to a stock product it is NOT ELIGIBLE for cancellation, return, or exchange.

Non-Customized & Unused Products: Within the first 30 days after purchase, if you are not satisfied or change your mind, we will be happy to provide a refund (excluding shipping).

How to Return or Exchange

Download our Return & Exchange form, fill it out and include it with your return shipment back to us.

If a discount code or coupon code was used at the time of purchase, the discounted amount that you originally paid will be refunded only (not the full retail product price).

We ask that you are responsible for all shipping & tracking costs for returns & exchanges.

If you didn't get an email confirmation, first, make sure which email address (if you have multiple) you used to make your purchase.

After you double checked your email, did you check your spam folder? If not, give that a look see and then make sure you whitelist our domain/email. We don't have any control over your email provider so sometimes it won't be delivered, if this is the case, contact us and we will be happy to resend it for you but make sure you take the following steps before giving us an email.


Our Scholars Collection uses bonded leather. There is also the option to add bonded leather to your customized "build-a-DODO" case.


We do offer a one year warranty on all DODOcase products but those would have the new polymer trays now

  • Hi there, I’ve had my case just over a year, it is an older version of the dia de Los muertos. I don’t take my iPad anywhere, and the corners are cracking off. Is it possible to send it in and just have the tray replace or repaired? Thank you for your help! Kind regards, Alicia
