What is the difference between a traditional two tone iPad case and a bookstyle case?
Hello. Our Traditional Two Tone case is a bookstyle case. It is part of one of our stock lines but you can also create a custom bookstyle case using our customizer.
Have you made any changes to the traditional two-tone iPad case? I purchased a monochrome iPad case (order #3827219) and it's already broken (plastic holding the iPad has broke). So I have taped the iPad so it will stay in the case (iPad Air 11-inch (M2)). I had purchased a case for an iPad Air 2 and it is still in use without tape. It is a wonderful case. The newer case, not so good.

Hello. Yes, the Two Tone case can fold amost all the way back. Because there is a spine, it is not quite flush but there will just be a small gap when folded all the way back.

There’s a massive DODO sticker on the inside of the case that doesn’t come off without leaving an half sticker, so now the case looks all tacky. Why would I want all that branding,and now the case looks cheap with it half removed??

I bought this case for new 13” iPad Pro. Love the look. Very classy. Functionality……? Very light weight. So light weight-every time you touch the screen the case collapses. Grabbed some silicone non slip material and cut to size. Slipped very slowly-but stilled collapsed. Thought about a clothes pin clipped to the side. Collapsed to the point the clothes pin almost came apart. Finally, grabbed a couple of lady hair pins (I’ve used as miniature clamps), bent the upper part and clipped to both sides of the case. Stays up now. Final comment-the case collapses every time I pick it up.
Love dodocase products. Such a great way to carry my iPad around daily, without feeling fussy or nerdy.
I only wish the newer models were slightly more padded and rigid, like the order models from the 2010's. Perhaps this could be an upgrade.
I also miss the look and feel of the old-school bamboo holders, but having had two of them split over time, I can definitely say the new versions are definitely more durable over the long haul.
I bought my first Dodocase in 2017. It's gone with me everywhere--roadtrips with the family for movies in the backseat, studies in the city on my bike, preaching with it on Sunday morning. It lasted until it was dropped too many times by my kids, but the iPad is still in excellent condition. Finally, over 5 years later, I'm getting a replacement. I'd say that's excellent.
Nice case. I ordered this at the beginning of the month and it didn’t get shipped until 3 weeks later despite getting an email that they would ship it a week earlier. However Dodocase did change my the color of the case I ordered as well as my shipping address without any fuss, which is good. The quality is pretty nice and feels exactly like a hardcover book. There is also a little strap at the top of the case for your pencil, which I liked.
Just bought a new iPad, and ordered a new DODOcase to protect it. This is my 2nd DODOcase in many years. They are sturdy and protect my iPad from accidental drops. They fit perfectly, and are well made. Worth every penny.
The Dodo team was so kind! I had ordered the wrong size and a new one arrived, free of change there days later.

Great customer service. Fabulous product. Was looking for something that wouldn't irritate my skin due to my multiple sensitivities and this book binding material is perfect for my skin. Very happy with my purchase.
I had one of the early dodo cases for my iPad 2. I loved the construction with bamboo that held the iPad in place. This feels like a cheap copy of that original dodo case. The plastic used to hold in the iPad feels so flimsy. I will not be using this case.

Love my custom DODOcase, and love that most people don’t recognize the iPad inside and just think that I have a hardback notebook or journal with me. Additionally, for me, the tray that the iPad snaps into has had a couple of issues - cracking at the corners two different times. The amazing team at DODO have sent me return labels and replaced it for me both times- no question asked. Impossibly good customer service that just doesn’t exist anywhere else anymore!
My iPad fits nicely into the DODOCase. The material seems to be good quality. The only thing that is odd is that the elastic flops down from the case. Other cases I’ve used had much stronger elastic that rested flat on the case.
I owned your first generation case. Old time bookmaker myself. Glad you are still making great cases. The plastic is a better choice than the bamboo. :)

I just love my iPad Air case. It protects my iPad and makes it so I don’t need to hold my iPad when I have it horizontally. All I have to do is place the case on my lap or on a surface for hands free viewing. I’ve been purchasing Dodo cases for all my iPads. This is my 6th.
This is the third one I have purchased. I loved the first one, left the second one on an airplane and could not recover it, and bought another. They have all been excellent.
It provides protection, is attractive and is a great value!

Very unhappy with the quality and fit of this case. Honestly would never have purchased if I had read more carefully. They will not pay for shipping on returns. That's just bad customer service in this day.
